Apples-to-apples comparisons against the services K3 replaces.
Early Bird is a flat $19.99/month with a fixed bundle of resources and hard caps on every meter — when you hit a limit, usage is denied until the next billing cycle. PAYG has no monthly fee and no caps; you're billed in arrears at the unit rates above. Early Bird is cheaper for predictable workloads; PAYG is better if you don't know your usage yet.
The corresponding API calls return a quota-exceeded error until the next billing cycle starts. There are no overage charges, no surprise bills, no auto-upgrades. You can also subscribe to alerts at 50/75/90% of any meter so you see it coming.
Yes, but only at the end of the current billing cycle. Early Bird is paid upfront and there are no mid-cycle plan changes. When you switch, you keep your data; only the billing model changes.
Higher-tier plans are not yet available. Right now there's exactly one package — Early Bird, limited to the first 100 customers — and the PAYG model. More plans are on the roadmap, but we're not pre-announcing prices we're not ready to honor.
